Acts 18:1-4, 24-29 Aquila: My name is Aquila and I am from Rome, Italy, ordered here to Corinth by Claudius. I am a Jew born in Pontus. Priscilla: My name is Priscilla, the wife of Aquila. We invited Paul to move in with us, while we worked together as we made tents. Every Sabbath, Paul would go to the synagogues to talk to the Jews and Greeks. He tried to persuade them about Jesus. Aquila: Soon a good man, a Jew named Apollos, came and spoke in the synagogue. He was very smart and knew the Bible. We invited him to our home. Though he spoke accurately, we took him aside and explained the ways of God, so he would understand them better. Priscilla: When Apollos got ready to go to Achaia, we asked the disciples to greet him with love. He was a great help there. He told people the Jews were wrong, and indeed, that Jesus is the Christ. Aquila: If you would like to read more about us, open your Bible to the book of Acts. Priscilla: Now we would like to ask you some questions. (Prepare some questions to ask the boys and girls.) |
